A wedding at Fingask Castle

Guests at the wedding reception.

This gorgeous pair Amanda & Iain had a wonderful wedding at Fingask Castle, a beautiful venue halfway between Perth and Dundee.

As always, I like to get to know the couple – and let them get to know me – and the best way to do this is with a quirky wee pre-wedding photo shoot. We nipped over to Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve in Fife where the bright yellow gorse was in full bloom. Just beautiful.

But the star of the show was Cooper, their gorgeous dog, who is so special to them both. We got this cracking shot of his paw on top of their hands – but only after a few attempts!

Man, woman wearing an engagement ring, and dog huddling.

The sky gave us the perfect dramatic backdrop for some atmospheric shots on the beach, and Amanda and Iain were both up for trying out some energetic shots as you’ll see.

On the big day itself, we were so lucky with the most gorgeous weather which was perfect for photos. The colours were just gorgeous – everything from the bridesmaids’ gowns to the tiny details on the mantlepiece in the beautiful ceremonial hall – and check out that incredible painted ceiling!

The vintage VW van was an absolute corker and featured in lots of the shots.

I just loved hanging out with this relaxed, fun couple and all their family and friends. Speeches, dinner, details and then on to a cracking knees-up in the marquee. These guys know how to party.

Another thing I absolutely LOVE to do with my couples is a post-wedding shoot. For this one we went to the beautiful Lunan Bay. We are just so spoiled for stunning locations in this part of the world.

These shots are so intimate and personal – just the two of them, which I think comes across so well in the shots of Amanda and Iain cooried under the veil in the shadow of the rocks.

All these perfect memories are now stored in this beautiful bespoke Italian handmade wedding album, with a matching handcrafted wood fibre box.

A wedding at Fingask Castle is always special, & this one was no different. Thanks for sharing your wonderful day with me.
