Weddings at Piperdam are always lovely but the wedding of Ashley and Ross Simpson went that extra mile.
Weddings at Piperdam are a weekly occurrence, with this one taking place on the 2nd of August 2015. Ashley and Ross’s wedding day, saw members of their family reunited from across the globe, making their special day even more memorable.
Both parties got ready for the big day at Piperdam’s stunning lodges. Preparing for the event of her life with her daughter Niomi and niece Amber who had flown all the way from Australia, along with Ashley’s other daughter Brooke, made for an extra special atmosphere.
Piped into the venue with her father by her side, Ashley looked simply spectacular in a beautiful a line dress with matching 1920s style hair accessory. All eyes were upon her as she walked down the aisle, including those of her very proud husband-to-be Ross. With his best man Michael by his side, who was about to make his very own special journey to live abroad, this was an emotional occasion for all.
As well as their beautiful bridesmaids dressed very prettily in pink, the couple also had three extra cute flower girls and a handsome page boy to keep them company as they tied the knot.
As they exchanged vows, it was clear just how loved up the couple were. Their joy at becoming man and wife was infectious and created a fantastic atmosphere amongst their guests.
After a gorgeous meal and some very emotive speeches, the whole wedding party partied the night away together in true Scottish style to celebrate the wonderful occasion.
Just a few days after the wedding I met up with Ashley and Ross again to take a few more shots to capture the extraordinary vibe of their special occasion. Walking the cobbled streets of Dundee in their weddings attire, I was able to create some beautiful and unique shots of the couple. When we walked past the kitchens of Jimmy Chungs, the workers there helped the couple to celebrate their new status as Mr and Mrs in style by playing some empty oil drums as they walked past.
As well as their memories and these stunning photographs, Ashley and Ross also received another memento of their big day when the story and wedding portraits featured in the Evening Telegraph’s new editorial section Loving Life. I’m proud to say that I was the first wedding photographer to appear in this supplement and that Ashley and Ross’s portrait made the front page.
That’s just one of the many reasons that Ashley and Ross had an amazing day and goes to show weddings at Piperdam especially this one are always that extra bit special.
